Man has always sought to leave a mark in time\u2014a time that, moreover, Albert Einstein discovered does not exist\u2014and thus a mark that could remain as a memory of his passage on this planet. In our homes today, we are accustomed to leaving marks that we already know will fall into oblivion, that will be lost in time: the life we are living seems to be more about “consumption.”<\/p>\n
We have somewhat lost the taste for uniqueness, for communicating a mental or philosophical belonging. A family memory today is a photograph on our smartphone or social media, and it seems that the sense of belonging has faded. And with it, the taste for unique things has also diminished.<\/p>\n
I recently overheard a beautiful phrase: “…he is a perfectionist; for him, the phrase ‘time is money’ means nothing…” I believe this is a great truth: important things are not built in a day. To create a legend, one needs certain ingredients: something to communicate, talent, and a blank wall on which to begin doing something memorable.
